t20 2012:Best XI-VOTE IN POLL

Decided to do away with Mahela Jayawardene. No doubt, he has handsome average but then only 1 50+ score in 7 innings at a strike rate of 116.26 is just not good enough to be amongst the best.

Totally understandable, but I only put him up for the sake of having a player that will play the anchor role, he's good at that.

There is Virat and Marlon who can stitch up a partnership. Taylor is also capable of hanging in there for a few overs. After all, its T20, you don't need someone as specialist as Dravid or Jayawardene to bat long hours. 5-7 overs is more than enough for steadying the ship of the team. And oh, I've selected Finn over Steyn because Finn has more wickets to his name at a good economy rate. Steyn has been bang on target but doesn't have many wickets to show. I'd always want wicket-taking bowlers. We all know that if wickets fall consistently, the scoring rate of the opposition will hit rock-bottom as well.

Your top order is really expolsive,but the need to get in Taylor was not needed,& McCullum so low down the order I think this squad is strong but lackes the order & everything,change it maybe then.No doubt your bowling will destroy the likes of every great batsmen.

Like I said it's totally understandable, your points are totally valid and btw, I picked Finn over Steyn as well.

That is my XI but its not the order of batting as you can sent in any player depending on the circumstances of the game. One of the openers get out early. Sent in McCullum. You are chasing with around 6 overs to go sent in Taylor. So you see what I mean? That is just names on a paper but it will not specify who comes in what order. All is dependant on the situation as Jaywerdena is a excellent guy to send in when you are 10/2 or in early trouble.
