PC: T20 Blast Tournament - Series 1 - (Round 2)

Happy to get both Mustard and Clarke. Mustard was one of the best players last year. I'm very surprised that 90,000 was good enough. Clarke is both a good batsmen and bowler.

What do you think guys? Best team in the league? ;)

You could of bid just $50,000 on Mustard and got him, was tempted to go for him to get a reserve keeper but went for the extra bowler instead :yes. Don't think you're going to get anyone to agree with you on best team of the league, as that's clearly me/whoever is posting ;).

The samurai have a pretty good around team with Durham and finally legionnaires

My team is complete.

Likely XI led by Sanga

1. A Cook
2. K Peiterson
3. R Taylor
4. J Trott
5. K Sangakara
6. R Bopara
7. S Afridi
8. A Mahmood
9. K Ali
10. M Morkel
11. Reece Topley

12. P Cummins
13. H Amla
14. M Wallace
14. A Weather

Happy with the batting front, I did not handle the bids for bowlers very well. Could have easily afforded Anderson or Broad.

In most cricket games, spinners are taken to the cleaners, I would suspect Mendis will not get many games ahead of Finn.

What. A. Team.

Mendis has a pretty decent T20 record. I know stats aren't all to go by but if you look at them then 91 matches 123 wickets @ 18.10 with only an economy rate 6.55.

His international record is even better with 36 matches 63 wickets @13.61 with a rate of 6.16.

The game looks harder to play spinners than most from the nets so far so just gotta hope it's ok :).

Either way you have nothing to worry about with Finn on the bench.

Manchester Mavericks XI

Name: Avg , Strike Rate, wickets, bowling average

1) Rohit Sharma (C) 32.44, 130.48, 28, 28.25
2) Marcus Trescothick 32.77, 155.22
3) James Vince 27.49, 127.24
4) Liam Dawson 12.22, 104.10, 31, 28.32
5) Shane Watson 33.19, 144.14, 105, 23.79
6) AB DeVilliers (WK) 29.42, 132.92

7) Peter Trego 23.85, 121.07, 69, 31.59
8) James Faulkner 14.14, 111.23, 79, 20.93
9) Graham Napier 16.01, 145.59, 123, 21.82

10) Craig Meschede 17.52, 126.80, 16, 23.25
11) Chris Wood 9, 107.46, 54, 27.85

The core of the team in bold. :)

Two Left arm fast medium bowlers in Wood and Faulkner. Two RFM in Meschede and Watson. Two RMF in Trego and Napier. One Left arm off spin in Dawson and pat time right arm off spin of Rohit.

So plenty of option for the captain. :p

Batting order would be floating. If Rohit and Tresco give a nice start then Watson and AB will get promotion. If some early wicket fell then batting order would remain same as Vince and Dawson are more grifter kind of players than strokemakers. :thumbs Occasionally teams would get really big surprises while facing us. ;)

Johnson before Borthwick and Bresnan seems an odd choice

Johnson is a more aggressive hitter late in the innings. If I lose wickets I will put the other two in.

About the overseas player, I'd bring Clarke in for Pathan or Morkel.

After that, I have the best team by far :yes
