[Team Thread] The Lunar Sharks - Season 2010

Did a trial run of 10 games using the lineups for both of our teams tomorrow.

This time we dominated and won 8-2. There were some very interesting matches including one where both teams scored over 200. We won. In fact, our innings was 218/0 with Aidan 123* and Rameez 90*. Another was a much lower scoring affair that we won. We batted first and racked a measly 135/6 - but the bowling of SciD 5/18 and El Capitano 4/11 skittled them for 85. Aidan scored some good runs, Sohum scored some good runs, Insomniac and Rameez did too. Occassional knocks from the other batsmen and a collective bowling effort resulted in this series of wins:

1. WON by 10 wickets
2. WON by 38 runs
3. LOST by 8 wickets
4. WON by 18 runs
5. WON by 20 runs
6. LOST by 5 wickets
7. WON by 50 runs
8. WON by 9 wickets
9. WON by 8 wickets
10. WON by 5 wickets

Our thread was diminishing near the bottom, so I thought I needed to bring it up to the top where it belongs.

Permutations

- If we win both of our remaining games, we will definitely qualify for the final vs Willow Wanderers.
- If we lose our game to the Smashers today, then we will need to beat the Llamas tomorrow to have a hope of qualifying - which will then come down to NRR.
- If we lose our game tomorrow, we cannot reach the final.
- If we lose both of our games, then that's bleedin' obvious that we can't reach the final.

The allrounder role will be removed from our vital game against the Llamas tomorrow because Haris' bowling was atrocious today (1/50) and if we got that low in the batting order then we'd lose anyway.

So our bowling attack tomorrow will be:

SciD, Cricketman, Andy Sugden, Funknath and Rhys Williams.
2 fasties, 2 fast mediums, 1 leggie.

Yes a long tail, but the 5-prong proper bowling attack should be VERY useful. And hopefully tweaking the batting lineup will prevent today's catastrophe. Sorry sohum.
