Got my new laptop.
It's the HP G62 Notebook series. Here are the details :

- 3GB Ram
- AMD Athlon Dual Core Processor 2.4 GHz
- 320 GB Hard Drive
- ATI Radeon Graphics card, 1400 MB
- Windows 7 Home Edition (obvious!)

And NBA 2k11! :D

I personally think my typing speed would come out increased if I'd test it with my laptop, it's comfortable than my PC.

I recorded a few so far and went back and listened to them and just typed out the bullet points, compared them to my notes I took in class and it was a lot closer than I had thought. I only missed maybe 5-10% of the key points but it will come in handy to relook at theory.

I'll post a small clip of my Politics of Evolution class, to show off the recording. Got a friend installing Office 2010 on it today too.

also this is my first post on PC from my netbook, I'm sitting in my Rise of Christianity class :)

There must have been a great amount of debates and discussions, probably. The topic is such. I'd love to hear a clipping.

I've seen a few people just sit on the sides near the powerpoints and just plug their laptops in.
Our classrooms were pretty good about having places to plug in. Some of the rooms even had a point at every desk. But other rooms had it just at the back of the room, which wasn't ideal.

Yeah, definitely would be handy if I did that, haha. I was a pretty lazy student in college. It was okay because the CS major was a lot more project based than going to class and listening to the professors drone (also CS professors are notoriously bad teachers, more interested in research).

I want to see Mark's reaction in a Rise of Christianity class!

haha mine is just fine cause the class is more about the environment that led to the parallel development of Christianity and modern Judaism. On the other hand there are a lot of religious people in that class and already they are starting to get offended.

The professor loves it as well, he considers "religious scholar" to be an oxymoron.

@ Varun

if you really want to hear some clips then I'll put together a small collection after I transcribe my recordings this weekend. I'm mostly taking political science classes right now , so Politics of Evolution, Politics of China and the rise of Christianity.

Yes,I really want to hear because I think that this topic will have a quite healthy discussion.
