A sensational performance by Team India after having to bowl first. There was rain in the air and with those conditions and a normal pitch, Siraj made perfect use of the conditions. New Zealand openers have been sensational but both departed cheaply. Little contributions from lower order helped New Zealand post a mediocre 192 in the first inning. Unfortunately with the rules, if India draw this match by just getting a lead in the first, they would win the championship.

Cometh the hour, cometh THE KING KANE WILLIAMSON. Under a lot of pressure New Zealand openers quickly put on a true Bazball performance and scored 115 in just 119 deliveries. Once both departed, Kane continued the hitting while Ashwin kept chipping away. In the end Kane scored a brilliant double century, first of the tournament while playing at a strike rate of almost 80. Ashwin took 7 wickets and it truly showed that New Zealand wanted a result as they played with a RR of 4.

Shubman and Jaiswal ensured that India were not losing this in a 339 runs chase in 60 odd overs. Unfortunate for New Zealand the pitch did not offer much and India too scored quickly trying to win this outright. In the end the match ended in a tie with India still needed 141 runs. If not for rain, we might have had a result.
In end the tournament ended with a nerve recking draw and saw everything from a collapse to a fightback.
Thank you for joining us and we will hope to see you in Season 2.
