Welcome to the 2009 African Premier League which is being held in South Africa. In the first year of the African Premier League there will be 6 teams competing in the 40/40 over competition.

The teams are:
Johannesburg Jaguars SOLD to biggy09
Cape Town Cobras SOLD to hmarkas
Gauteng Giants SOLD to Akash00
Nairobi Knights SOLD to hedger_14
Matabeleland Maestros SOLD to Blazerix
Mashonaland Magic SOLD to blake

If you would like to own a team please send me 50,000 vCash and select which team you would like to own. Each team owner will draft 6 african players (any player from South Africa,Zimbabwe and Kenya or even Namibia). Then you will draft 8 other international players.


When drafting African players:
You may draft any cricketer from any African nation but the player must have played at least 20 matches in domestic cricket.

Zimbabwean legends Heath Streak, Grant Flower and Andy Flower are all available to be drafted.

Remember the 6 African players you draft must be in your starting XI.

When drafting Other International players:
You may draft any other International players but they must have played at least 10 matches for their nation.

You will draft 8 international players.

Nope you don't need cricsim to play, you just sit back and draft the players you want for your team then I will simulate the tournament on cricSim.

I think there should be something like 20 first class wickets, or 500 first class runs. 20 matches could work, but what if there is a tailender who averages 70 odd because they are always not out? What if there is a batsman who has taken 1 wicket ever at an average of 5? I know it sounds like a silly concept, but I'm sure there would be cases.

you probably would since he said South African players in there unless he meant non-international players.

Yep guys by African players I mean any International cricketers and domestic cricketers from any african nation (South Africa,Zimbabwe and Kenya or even Namibia.)
