The BIG XI Thread

@MattW
Whether this video helps the team or not, but this was the only game I could find after an hour of searching.
13 games played before this one and the pull the plug in full effect, no end match screen, no win by forfeit, zero points for the time played and the games played remains at 13. The other player just returns to the home screen as if the game never happened. This is beyond frustrating!

Not gonna have a black list of players publicly. Circulate amongst yourselves if necessary.

We could do a 'white list' and have players from on here submit their ID, platforms and put them in this thread.
A very good thought, but saving the names of blacklisted players will only make them play like this more. Atleast have a blacklist after posting video proofs. Just a thought. It's really painful how some of the players do play the game.

I understand the frustration, but I think reporting the tactics or actions that impact upon the experience negatively, is enough. Some people might be unfairly added, not knowing that what they do is seen as negative play.

I don't if it videos are helpful here or being sent directly to Big Ant. @MattW can comment on that.

To be honest they don't deserve any sympathy. There are guys who bowl 90% of the balls on wideline. One guy tried bowling only leg side line. Atleast he could only keep 5 fielders on leg side. But when someone tries the same on off side its too much. Negative tactics have to penalised severely. All the good efforts of making such a superb mode will be wasted by these unfair players.

At the end of the day people will find ways to win, some won't care about the FairPlay restrictions even if they are in place. Trying to encourage a play style is one thing but player bases will usually find the most effective way to win. I can't say I would be above trying anything to win despite the fact that I find some of the tactics used online to be off putting. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. The balance of realism and what works is a difficult one to deal with.

I would encourage people to come up with solutions for issues and feedback as much as possible so that Big Ant can best identify things they can look to improve. For example, a personal block list or option in the game might be one way to ensure that people can avoid matching against people who they have had a poor experience against.

It could be that this mode could also present ways to improve gameplay overall. If it is too easy for someone to execute wide Yorkers with any bowler, it might be that, in the future, wide yorkers could be seen as a unique skill that certain bowlers can execute well. So you would choose that bowler when you want to attempt that tactic. But with bowlers that don't have that unique skill (maybe through the proficiency system) the margin for error is far smaller so it'd carry far greater risk.

As far as things go on here having some kind of public block list would ultimately have to be maintained and if there are disputes who is meant to adjudicate? I don't think mods should be expected to do so, particularly when some might not play the game. I would also not be surprised if people could find a way around it.

I'd love to know how they're doing it on console. It greys out the play game screen when I have more than 2 sapphire players play. So not sure how they're sneaking it through.

Anyone else getting slo mo batting for literally every shot. Played 2 games on ps5 last night and couldn’t hit a ball no matter what I did. Think I’m going to have to change to arcade batting online I faced 24 balls in one game and 22 were down leg side not sure if that’s fair play or not but connected with 3 shots and they were all edged due to the slo mo batting
