Well..I gave it a hard thought but just came out with this one.

Well it just doesn't work the way you have at the moment. Because if you win by 5 wickets or more then you have absically cained the opposition. So therefore that should make a bonus point. Because what happens if you win by 10/9 wickets but you don't get a bonus point for it? At the moment the only teams who can get bonus points are the team batting 1st because nobody will make the score in 15 overs...

Here's the calculation then,..5 overs means 25% of the number of overs ..and if you look at the average score at T20 it is 160 which makes 40 runs also 25%...making it equal on both sides.:cool:

One thing Amodh...In the pitch selection, make it that the team 1 either selects the pitch or decides whether they want to bat or bowl.

I thought about that as well, but say team 1 selects green pitch..then obviously team 2 will bowl first, or say a hard pitch, then team 2 will like to bat first. Thus to give one team a advantage during the game...just like home games i decided on this.:cool:

Sorry are we playing T20's? I thought it was ODI's lol. I am mistaken. That is the correct ruling for T20's

Also surely if the same team picks pitch and chooses bat or bowl they will just do whatever is suited to the pitch as well?

This is giving advantage to one team...(home game). I agree otherwise also other team will get advantage...but then that will dilute the importance of giving team 1 choice of pitch as well.

We could do like the captain that posts the team playing that match first selects wether to bowl or bat, but the pitch will be selected by team 1!

Like:

Team 1 vs Team 2

Team 2 post their team first, then Team 1 posts the team and also selects the pitch. Then Team 2 selects if they wanna bat or bowl as they posted the teams 1st!

If done team 1 chooses pitch and team 2 choose what to do then it will give both sides advantages. Yes KX's suggestion sounds perfect to me. That way both sides get an advantage, whether it be by choosing a pitch suited to their side or choosing whether to bat or bowl based on the pitch.
