I averaged 40+ with the ball in this match and got 9 maidens in the 1st innings, still quite happy with that but disappointed that I didnt get an opportunity to bat

Good for confidence and form, but a draw doesn't do much (of course, if you want a win). I'm disappointed with my bowling, no wickets at all! Oh well, the first test match of the season is always shaky.

This is TEST best form of cricket and must say true form of cricket where we actually see the talent nurturing and grooming. CCPC has just recorded net profit of 2.6 million from last test between WW and LL and there have been extensive bidding between 3 International channels for the next season of CCPC , we have to wait and see where the ball falls.
We are here at Manchester, England for the 2nd test between Venomous Vipers and Lightning Lions. We can easily see the rising popularity of CCPC by looking at this jam packed stadium even after a football match between MU and Arsenal last night.
Sun is shining bright and weather is cool, a perfect day to play cricket. It?s a five day fun feast for us so sit back and enjoy the game.
Pitch is normal and surface will evenly help bowlers and batsmen. Two captains are there for the toss with Umpire Billy. Lightning lions won the toss and elected to bat first.
KX and Left Hander are into the ground they are looking as fresh as green apple(No! not that TOM). Shalin hitter has that shiny red ball in his hands. And he knows how to use that and this was his favorite surface to bowl. Both batsmen played cautiously but Left Hander was always uncomfortable in front of Shalin and finally he ended up by nicking the ball into Ashwin hands. Giggity came to join KX both of them had some conversation initially and played very cautiously to put up a partnership of 54. Just in time WC struck and got the wicket of KX. Amiya and Giggity shown good understanding between each other and they were able to pick handy runs. At the time of lunch LL were 105/2.
After lunch both were looking well settled at crease and played strokes all over the park. Both reached their fifties in style. And they put up 100 plus partnership on the board , team given them a standing applause for stabilizing innings. Sanjogmaiti , known as partnership breaker done the trick for Vipers and Caught Amiya on his own delivery. But depth in batting lineup of Vipers never made them worried about this fall. Viral was there to support Giggity who was well settled and there was no delivery who can get him out. Both played brilliantly and Giggity reached his century. This was a well deserved ton. After his century there was no rest for the fielders as he started hitting boundaries every here and then. 14 fours and 5 sixes WHOA this guy was enjoying his game. Some misunderstanding in a call for run cost Lions wicket of Giggity. He got standing ovation for the brilliant knock of 169. 20/20 Pro came in to join Viral. Both played good shots for a partnership of 70 runs and Lions decided to declare the innings as they had good score of387/4 on the board and it was already second day?s afternoon.

Vipers were ready to slain and their snakes I mean openers were there in ground. Vaibhy and Mad Snake opened bowling for Lions. Though we are bit confused about this ?. Mad Snake[\b] playing for Lions ! ! Jokes apart , Jimmy has been a good pacer so far we have seen lots of show stopping moments during his spells. Openers knew their job and played sensibly. Ashwin & Tarzan both shown their experience out there and got 50 runs partnership on the board. 20/20 pro begin his spell and in 2nd over of his spell he was able to judge the footwork of Tarzan. He trapped tarzan and got him in front of the stumps and umpire had no hesitation lifting his finger up. Gorrila came to join Ashwin. They build up good understanding between them and that went in favor of team as they got 80 runs partnership for them. Both were looking well settled.
Lions? captain felt this as a very right time to bring KingCricket into attack and he actually proved his captain right. He was able to get wicket of Gorrila. Gorrila was sent back to pavilion at a score of 32. Ashwin was little disappointed on this as he was losing his partners one by one and none was able to stay with him to built a strong partnership. But he knew his job and stood tall for his team. Johny and Ashwin made a partnership of 77 runs. Ashwin reached his century and got standing ovation from crowd. Partnership between Johny and Ashwin was a run fest for Vipers. All Sixes of Vipers innings came into that time span only. Johny became victim of a bad call and good fielding and he was run out at a score of 34. Lezdep came on to crease and in same over ashwin departed at a score of 119. This was a well executed innings by him and he added another brilliant century to his career stats. Lezdep and WC were there to take care of innings but WC was caught at deep mid wicket while trying to smash a loose delivery of Jimmy. Now we were ready to see some funky cricket by Funknath, but in no time he proved his seriousness about cricket as each and every shot of him was well executed and ball was dancing just as he commanded. Lezdep and Funknath reached their fifties one after another. Funknath was able to score a well deserved ton. He has done everything so far to maintain his position in team for next matches. Funknath got run out on a misfield. I don?t know WHY people run on a misfield. This is test guys you don?t need to push on. 441 was the total and this was time to declare the innings.
We are already almost at the end of day 3. Lions will have to play quick and put a decent target on the board. Both teams had some time to relax. Even I want to rest now. See you after a break. Keep watching ?..

Nice update Zombie, lots of runs, little to no wickets, man looks like this match is being played in Pakistan and not England, surprised there were not double tons on both sides!!

We had half hour before the day end. Lions were on the crease and quite unexpectedly they opened with their regular opening pair rather than sending a night watchman. Shalin opened the bowling once again and his confident bowling was good enough get an early breakthrough. Left Hander again became victim of Shalin?s superb outswinger which kissed the edge of bat and went into he hands of Ashwin. At the end of day Lions were 25/1 with Giggity and KX on the crease.
Day 4: KX and Giggity walked into ground with some commitment towards their team. They didn?t try to fiddle with ball till the time they were settled. And once they got settled there was no looking back. Thanks to modern technology scorecards are automatic otherwise those guys would have put scorers into a restless position. They were able to put 144 on scoreboard before first tea break.
Resuming after break they continued their game in same fashion. Soon Vipers realized there was nothing they can do to break this partnership. Both reached their fifties and continued playing strokes and getting runs on the board. Both scored well deserved Tons. Crowd and Lions gave them standing ovation on this wonderful partnership. They were looking unstoppable. Giggity reached 150 and made a milestone in his career. Now Rabs had ball in his hands and finally he was able to pick the wicket of KX with a Yorker. He was departed at a score of 122.
Day5 : Amiya and Giggity were there to take care of the innings. Lions declared innings at a score of 355.
It was already 12:13PM and match was looking like an obvious draw. Ashwin and Tarzan had tough task ahead scoring 302 runs before they day ends. Vaibhy picked up an early wicket of Tarzan. Gorilla was next to go with a score of 23. Ashwin and Johny took command of innings and tried their best to get to the target. They made a partnership of 150 and once we had a feeling that they might turn the tables but a bad call from Johny cost them wicket of Ashwin. He was unlucky to miss the century by just 6 runs. After ashwin?s departure Vipers? innings got scattered and they kept losing wickets at regular intervals.
Match ended into a draw ? as expected.
We saw some great batting and a good exhibition of bowling in those 5 days. Do join us next time ! Till then good bye and stay safe.

Yes, good work all around, teams, and presentations, keep it up mates, I just hope we do get a result oriented wicket so we can make a few batsmen smell some leather!!!
