I created XII board thread where we shared our performance and views. This thread is for those who are appearing for competitive exams this year :).

The upcoming is IIT-JEE, how is your preparation guys? I have just finished Permutation & Combinations of class XI.

Can anyone please suggest me a good book for AIEEE?

I gave AIPMT Prelims this Saturday. I'll hopefully clear it and get selected for the mains examination.

JEE is next. I am not studying a bit for it. I am pathetic in Maths. I'll try to solve as many Physics and Chemistry questions I can.

What is the average cut-off for JEE?

I will never give this competitive exams haha..can't tweaking understand class 11's maths(started today) and I am thinking of giving competitive exams plus I don't wanna be an engineer or a doctor :p

I din't take IIT 'cause my bro had a good experience with it.
BTW, I'm writing AIEEE, VITEEE, SRMEEE and EAMCET!

And any books for AIEEE B Arch??

My IIT-JEE was fantastic. Easy Chem but Maths and Phy were tricky. Though I have done well :).

Non-existent - didn't give it! :laugh

But I heard from people that it was pretty easy, just that they were short of time.

Damn short!
Physics what I felt was easy, but lengthy one.
I just solved only Physics, and rest, just attempted!
I'd get first rank in Physics, 35 outta 40 without any doubt!
I wasted about 2hrs 15 mins on Phy, and 15 mins on Both Math and Chem:yes:laugh.

I don't want to sound mean but don't take it lightly. This should be a lesson and not something to laugh on.

Believe me, getting into a good college is very important. Not only do you get good faculties and facilities but also decent atmosphere. God forbid, if you end up in some not-so-good college you will have to do with that 'class' of people who neither study nor let others study. There won't be much competition. Not enough resources. And so on.. I can say all this by my experience. The biggest mistake of my life - despite being an above-par student through out my life, I ended up in a ████ college and faced all the above things.

So, take it as seriously as you can, these entrance exams are really gonna shape up your future. Just a few months dude, don't let them pass just like that.

On topic, in these entrance exams keep a good eye on clock. Divide time for each section, do not let your ego come in way when stuck on a question, just let it be if you feel it isn't solvable in the time limit you have decided. Go for other questions, there are LOTS of them. Rarely will you be able to attempt all the questions.

@Hitty, Kshitiz and PP:
What are your AIEEE ranks?

I got 3,000 in B Arch, but B tech turned out to be epic fail:yes. I got nearly 2m:facepalm

I din't expect 3,000 in B arch even in dreams. I wrote it well, but thought I would get somewhere near 20-30k. But 3,000 is awesome:D.

BTW, kindly suggest me some B Arch colleges mates:).

Hey anybody got higher than 10,000 rank in IIT here ?
