So...whaddaya think of the new Doctor? As far as I see it, he's on a hiding to nothing - Tennant was widely regarded as the best (that's my opinion as well) - how do you follow the best? He looks to have the energy levels - they look like they're not changing the way he is much from Tennant, and he's a funny guy as well. Personally, I reckon they had a plan A: Try to find someone who can copy Tennant and carry it off, or Plan B: Change his character entirely. Well, they definitely went with plan A.
His opening lines were classics:
'Legs - I've still got legs - good...arms...hands..fingers, lots of fingers, eyes: two...nose...I've had worse (Ecclestone must spring to mind!)...chin...blimey....hair....I'm a girl! No..No, I'm not a girl...and I'm still not ginger! Oh and something else! Something...important...I'm....I'm....CRASHING! GERONIMO!!!!! :laugh
I'm really looking forwards to the new series. Matt Smith can be a very good Doctor in his own right - but I doubt if he'll top or even match Tennant.
