Does that event take place in Bangladesh as well? And that stuff of worshiping notebooks by sticking Saraswati's photo in notebook or something? I done that when I was learning in Karnataka, in 3rd and 4th standard. That wasn't followed later when I shifted to MH. That's a positive thing done to make children study respected even its an irrational belief.
