Google also helps patch makers in finding pic's of stuff's they are making. Such as company logos, players face pic's, bats pics, etc.
Google indirectly plays a part in progress of PC as more and more people came to know about this site by googling something.

Through Google of course. Initially thought Registered Users cannot post here and can only download stuffs. Later found that I was wrong. That's the reason I registered in 2004 and started posting on 2006.

way back in 2001 when I wanted something new for my BLC game which i'd thoroughly abused till that point.

I fired a shot in the dark and presto! I landed up at "BLC ONLINE" via yahoo search.
Ritwik thanx for introducing me to this site...
actually, ritwik...who is (was) my classmate...told me about the site.
but unfortunately i forgot about it :(

then i googled "Fantasy Cricket", on the first page, came the name of planetcricket, it was then that i registered with the site...

I was google too, for Cricket 2004 downloads I think. Again a case of registering a long time before I started posting.

Why did people register and wait to post?

My 1st post was made the day I registered

well...probably people didn't register to post
i.e. maybe ppl wanted to download something and they registered, after some time though, they realised, that PC forums is the hippest thing on the Net, so they started posting.

eg: i had initially registered to play Fantasy Cricket, so i didn't post till a long time.

I joined so I could download new bat textures. Then I realized, "hey, I should be contributing something." And here I am.

BTW, I found out about this site through CricketWeb.net. Where on it, I have no idea. But I am glad I did. :)
