Stage 2, The Climb To Credibility: Tentative re-emergence, encouraged by sporadic positive comments from established members but mostly unregarded, watches post count cross three figures, feels like a veteran, secretly takes pleasure in n00bs transitioning Stage 1 while publicly defending them, starts to understand PC shorthand and learns some real life names.

Stage 3, The Flourishing: Now fluent in PC-isms, every second word is "dire", every second abbreviation is "tbh", writes long and rambling posts, dissects competing posts point-by-point, gets sucked into flame wars, learns lesson, generally increased level of assertiveness, other members remember who they are, has a good handle on other personalities, post count crosses 1000, feels like a guru, enthusiastically participates in battles.

Stage 4, Acceptance: Pretends Stage 1 never happened to them but digs up old threads to read their own early posts, takes up chiding n00bs with gusto, gets upset about frivolous thread starters and post count boosters and excessive use of emoticons, starts getting sick of battles, post count reaches multiples of 1000, feels like Yoda, confident in opinions as has formed unofficial alliances with certain members.

Stage 5, Tenure: Post count crosses 10,000, regrets time wasted, spends pretty much all day with an eye on PC yet posts only ever seem to consist of "hahaha", "....", or "dire", as they've said everything they ever thought about anything and it's all written down in the archived threads for posterity, but habit keeps them coming back over and over and over...

Now, this post was originally created by another member named '16 Tins of Spam' on another forum. I cannot take credibility for this post even though I want to, considering that it's such a cynical yet true post. I've had to change only a few things in this post in order for it to make sense but that's about it from me. I really can't say what stage I'd be at in this as I've changed a fair bit from the year break that I've taken from all the forums (Including Planet Cricket) but when this post was originally made I was at the Trial by Fire stage, knew nothing about forums, had no Idea what I was doing and posted 'MSN-like' comments and what not.

Stage 5. :p

Well Stage 5 for the 10,000+ posts and posts consists of dire and hahaha etc. But stage 3 for the gets sucked into flame wars. That's the only thing I really do in Cricket Discussion these days.

Probably stage four, when I first joined my posts were pretty bad. Still get pretty annoyed with pointless thread's, but like to think I've "calmed down" a bit when posting with people that I don't agree with. I know most of the "senior" members here, and pretty much know what/how they form their opinions.

In between Stage 3-4 i suppose. I laugh when i see my retarded posts when i first started :p

4 or 5. Dire tbh, haha.

Haha. This post is pretty epic.

No offence to most of you, but I really don't think that half of you are at stage four. I've seen many of you sucked into flaming wars with a dire member who makes annoying and rambling posts. Yet you feel the need to have a jab at them. I'd agree with GC123 Howsie an Gary123 though. GC123 fits perfectly into stage 2, I haven't really seen a lot of abbreviations from him though so I'd say stage 3 is a no go. Howsie's explained himself and Gary123 - Is well, just Gary.

Skrillerx_x is the main person I see getting into flaming wars though.

Yeah, but 90% of the time it isn't getting "sucked" in to flame wars, it's willingly participating. It's the only fun part in cricket discussion most of the time.
