After Liverpools resounding win against Birmingham City today with the blues being totally outplayed and beaten by goals from England trio Micheal Owen, Emile Heskey and Steven Gerrard, they are now firm favourites to take the 4th Champions League spot.

Does anyone not agree that Liverpool are now in pole position to get the 4th place and I think it may not go down to the final game of the season versus Newcasle (which i am going to) with Newcastle loseing one of there next 2 games.

Also what next for Birmingham ,earlier in the season hoping for a European place themselves, they now see rivals Villa in top form looking for a UEFA Cup place and rumours continue about Steve Bruce taking over from Bobby Robson at Newcastle.

Interesting climax as the last game of the season is Liverpool vs Newcastle.

I must admit I will be watching the coventry - palace game this afternoon and will be shouting for Palace as AJ plays for them. He has proved me wrong to be fair - never thought he could cut it in Div 1

Well, we cut it fine but thanks to West Ham we're in the play-offs:cool: . A dire first half performance, much-improved in the 2nd, but I thought it wasn't to be our day when that guy cleared Gray's effort off the line:eek: . AJ had a quiet game Phil, apart from a couple of decent crosses.
Sunderland now in the play-off semi; going to be tough. Still, whatever happens it's been a remarkable turnaround for Palace since the appointment of Dowie when you think we were in the relegation zone before Xmas.
