India have made it to a pretty good score of 270/4 in their 50 overs. The platform was laid down by Sachin Tendulkar & Mohammad Azharuddin adding 59 runs for the 2nd wicket partnership scoring 54 & 26 respectively. With 2 quick wickets, it was Dravid-Dada pair that added 92 runs for the 4th wicket with Dravid getting out in an unfortunate way getting caught down the leg-side on 44. Sourav Ganguly batted right till the end scoring 73*(92). Ajay Jadeja helped India to a great finish as he scored 43*(37).
Pakistan bowlers did keep it tight but failed to get enough wickets as India piled on 270/4 in a Final match that adds to the pressure. Chasing such a score can be really tricky at times. However, their chase in the 2nd Final proves that they are more than capable of chasing down this score. Abdul Razzaq was the pick of the bowlers as he took 2/36 off his 10 overs getting the important wicket of Rahul Dravid off the last ball of his spell. Saqlain Mushtaq got Sachin but he went expensive conceding 59 runs in his 10 overs. Shoaib Akhtar did not complete his quota as he went wicketless in his 8 overs conceding 39 runs. Waqar Younis kept it tight as he conceded 48 runs and picked up Azharuddin's wicket. Wasim Akram and Shahid Afridi went over 6 runs per over which can prove to be the difference in the match!

The platform was laid down by Sachin Tendulkar & Mohammad Azharuddin adding 59 runs for the 2nd wicket partnership scoring 54 & 26 respectively. With 2 quick wickets, it was Dravid-Dada pair that added 92 runs for the 4th wicket with Dravid getting out in an unfortunate way getting caught down the leg-side on 44. Sourav Ganguly batted right till the end scoring 73*(92). Ajay Jadeja helped India to a great finish as he scored 43*(37).
Pakistan bowlers did keep it tight but failed to get enough wickets as India piled on 270/4 in a Final match that adds to the pressure. Chasing such a score can be really tricky at times. However, their chase in the 2nd Final proves that they are more than capable of chasing down this score. Abdul Razzaq was the pick of the bowlers as he took 2/36 off his 10 overs getting the important wicket of Rahul Dravid off the last ball of his spell. Saqlain Mushtaq got Sachin but he went expensive conceding 59 runs in his 10 overs. Shoaib Akhtar did not complete his quota as he went wicketless in his 8 overs conceding 39 runs. Waqar Younis kept it tight as he conceded 48 runs and picked up Azharuddin's wicket. Wasim Akram and Shahid Afridi went over 6 runs per over which can prove to be the difference in the match!

What an end to an India-Pakistan game! It felt like Pakistan were cruising at one stage with Inzamam & Yousuf at the crease but India managed to get rid of both of them on 52 & 81 respectively. Abdul Razzaq gave a good support to the lower order as he scored 33 while Moin Khan scored an unbeaten 11. Ijaz Ahmed had also got off to a good start scoring 35 before he got out. Shahid Afridi scored a duck.
Indian bowlers kept it tight early in the innings which helped them take the game deep and till the last over. Ajit Agarkar got 1/40 while Srinath got 1/43 off their 10 overs respectively. Harbhajan Singh & Anil Kumble got 2 wickets each while Robin Singh also got a wicket. Sachin Tendulkar bowled the last over defending just 6 runs and he ended up conceding just 5 as the 3rd Final ends in a Tie!
