Things you wish you had seen live

Would've loved to see Pakistan win the World Cup live. Seeing AC/DC play live while Bon was still alive would've been great.

My birth
Martin Luther King's 'I Have A Dream' speech
Newcastle's 4-3 win over Man Utd a few seasons ago
'That' Test at Edgbaston
Muse at Wembley
Foo Fighters at Wembley
Any Kanye West gig

Botham's Ashes
Band Aid
Fall of the Berlin Wall
1966 World Cup Final
Wright brothers first powered flight
I'd have quite liked to have been on the moon waiting for Armstrong to climb down the ladder too.

  • Sounds sort of weird and stupid as I would have been obliterated, but when Hiroshima was attacked, the mushroom cloud would have been an amazing sight.
  • The self immolation of the Buddhist monk, Thích Quảng Đức.
  • The IPL final, just for the sheer amount of twists and turns, heart in mouth stuff.

The final day of the 06/07 Ashes (Warne, McGrath and Langers final test)
The final day of Steve Waughs final test
Don Bradmans 334
Michael Clarkes debut 151
St George's last grand final win

Liverpool-Milan Champions League Final '05
Any Superbowl match

Edgbaston Ashes Test '05
Australia-South Africa ODI where SA chased down 420 odd

- The Fall of the Berlin Wall.
- The war room when the US President decided to drop the bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It was an easy choice to make inevitably but obviously taking into account all the precedents it set, to see that much responsibility on one mans shoulders.
- I'd like to have been there to see look into the eyes of the Monk who set himself on fire in protest, same with the students at Tianeman.
- I'd like to have seen Martin Luther King and JFK speak live, as well as Malcolm X.
- The Black Power protest at the Olympics.

There's plenty of others I just can't think of at present.

-Warney's 700th wicket (I was there that day but had to leave to go to a funeral, he took it while I was walking out :()
-Australia winning one of its 3 world cups (finals) (cricket)
-That Iraqi journalist throwing his shoes at George Bush
-The 2007 Preliminary Final (Geelong v Collingwood) (AFL)
-When Nicky Winmar proudly pointed to his black skin when Collingwood fans were being racist (AFL).
-For just one of Gary Ablett Senior's many incredible games (particularly one of the 3 where he kicked 14 goals) (AFL).

I saw us win a flag so that fulfilled my greatest sporting wish, although wish I hadn't seen the 2008 one.
