ICC HQ, Dubai: ICC officially sanctions Toyota Cricket Cup

In a massive turn of events, International Cricket Council has officially given the much-awaited Toyota Cricket Cup - TCC a green light. A brainchild of AsadRM, Toyota Cricket Cup has been in the pipeline for years. Being one of its kind, TCC would involve 8 franchises going neck-to-neck in First-Class Cricket. The league's each franchise would be based in a different Test nation, with an identity and home ground of their own. Teams are expected to be up for grabs for private entities soon, followed by the draft.

ICC has also given Toyota Cricket Cup an exclusive window to ensure the availability of the Cricketing world's most sought-after stars (including Indian players). It promises to be a true extravaganza of Cricket's pinnacle format!

The competition will be based on FC format, with each team having 3 prior local marquee players. The teams will then proceed to a draft, selecting 13 more players; 6 overseas players, 6 local stars and 1 emerging local player.

If I have enough time in the future, I hope to conduct a proper league in a simulator with the teams. But in the meantime, this will only be a draft.

Signups to Manage Teams Open Tonight (April 15th) at 9:30 pm Pakistan Time (10:00 pm IST)

Spoiler: Guidelines:

• 8 Teams total with 0 available now to manage independently.
• Maximum 2 co-managers allowed, with approval from the first original manager.
• Two teams can't be based in one country, so if South Africa for example has one franchise already taken, someone else can't get another South African franchise.
