One doesnt always get the players one wants.
You might actually end up with a much worse team then before

maybe, but i don't actually know half of the players in Darwins team at the moment, so with this draft, I could get hold of players that I actually know and have heard of.

So is the New Zealand draft still happening at the moment?
It seems to have stopped...

If we are having a re-draft you might as well make holdenator a AUS team again...
And then us 5 NZ teams can continue with the New Zealand draft, as we have to do it again if their is a re-draft or if their is not a re-draft.

Well I had a think over the night and I've decided the TTPL needs a new beginning. From now, no Manager owns any players.

We are going to be having an all new draft, in which all lists go out the window. The single rule I do have is that they must play First Class Cricket. I will accept players from the IPL, and ICL.

This means you will have to do your own scouting and be fully responsible for the team you put on the paddock.


A few tips when drafting:

Finding young Domestic players who have played 5 or 6 matches and average 60 with the bat, won't help you. I only take averages as a guidline and in that case his average would be adjusted accordingly.

Try to pick up 2 Keepers, as injurys and possibly suspension will be introduced this season.

Current Internationals are probably your best bet as the likes of the ICL's has-beens, may not be what they used be in their prime.


All drafting will take place in the social group, and try to stay active (daily) because I won't be having this draft drag out, much longer than 24 hours and you may miss your pick that round.

There will be no order but a new round will not start until everyone has made a pick.

The lists will remain on post 1 as a guideline for those unfamiliar with the Domestic scenes.

The draft starts today (Wed the 11th) at 6am GMT time, using this clock as your reference [ GMT Time ]

You will find the appropriate threads at the social group.

Can you update the NZ draft with the player's that were picked first round last time???

Also in the NZ part you have not said how many player's we pick each time.
I assume it is just the same as how many player's are picked in the Aus draft each round...

You need 11 Domestic players and 7 Internaitonals.

and yes I have next to the number of the round.

After the Domestic draft you can pick them as Internationals.

I think they can pick them up as International player's, but only after the best 66 have already gone.
In our case it will be the best 132 Australians who have already gone.
