The United Cricket Council is a newly formed organizing body for Cricket based out of the United Kingdom with the stated aim of promoting the game across non traditional cricketing nations, primarily in Europe. The first nation to host a UCC outreach office is France.

The first UCC sanctioned event is to be The Academy Cup, which is set to host a selection of young talent scouted from across England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and France. Pending the success of this inaugural tournament, the UCC has plans to form and promote a number of first class and one day competitions in order to further promote the game at large.

Competition format and Rules
​

Competition is a single leg round robin tournament between four Academy teams, to be drafted from a pre selected draft list picked by the UCC scouting team.

Matches are to be played in a 50 over one day format.

Managers have a deadline of 12 PM GMT on Saturday 28th of March in order to submit their draft board to @High Flying Dwarf . Players will need to be listed in order of preference. Picks will then be announced at the end of the draft. Draft order will be based on draft board submission times (earliest team gets first pick).
