Both day seats were pretty good, he gets an awesome view of the whole stadium and pitch on day one, and is really close to the action on day 2

Looks like you had an awesome time! (apart from the coldness :p)

You must have had a lot of fun pal. It is my dream to watch a test match of England in a stadium especially Lord's, but leave that. Any autographs you took:p

no, the guard denied the chance for us to even get close to the players balcony on the second day.

here's the english team celebrating trott's century.

i wish i could've stayed on for the whole game, the stadium was virtually empty today.

Only way they'd be better is if they were behind the pitch.

i think those areas are MCC & AFL reserves, although those places would be the best to sit at. I needed the binoculars to see the ball on the first day, was sitting about 5 rows from the back of the stadium. :D

You would have enjoyed a lot mate.
You were allowed to took snaps:eek::p
When I went to Motera, police officer took over me for taking snaps:p

They forbid it due to security reasons I guess. (You know the condition in India)

You're lucky riz. The stadium looks magnificent. And the seats you got on both the days were just perfect.

Really, how is using a camera a security risk? I can only think there is so much hysteria out there that people think they are (or have been) at a risk to be somehow changed in to a weapon.

I think more than the actual security part they are afraid that someone will steal your camera and they don't want to be responsible. Just a guess, idk

To use it 99.99% of the time you aren't at a cricket match? :p

I think cell phone cameras are still allowed though. not sure.

Yeah, I'd also agree it's farcical, but they probably do it to prevent any terror attack or something like that.(That's what they say)

They don't even allow mobile phones (though people are habitual of carrying them secretly), I had went to Feroz Shah Kotla and faced similar experience, it was a year ago I think.

When I managed to meet Sehwag at Brabourne, I asked my friend to take our snap but the guard standing there said "No". He said, "Nowadays guns in camera's form are available, so for security reasons I won't allow this!" :p

He also requested Sehwag about it saying that his (the guard's) job would be in danger if the snap was taken.
