The area we play in is very small so we have lots of special rules. The one big one is that if it hits the TV you're out :)

This is the bat and the balls I use for indoor cricket. The bat earlier had the sticker of MRF (of course it wasn't an original one). You can see the condition of the bat, it is terrible. I need to get a new one now.

The color of the balls just kept on degrading as more and more cricket is played with them. The second ball from right is a perfect example of that. A part of it got teared off due to the shots. The fourth ball from right is a kind of a rubber ball, has a size of a cork ball and we use that while playing cricket in the balcony.

Exactly. Even if it hits to the Air Conditioner or any light, the batsman is out. We have different runs for different doors and curtains. Like if the ball touches the main entrance door, its a four. Even if it touches the wall on the opposite side, the batsman get a boundary and a six if it touches it without bouncing anywhere.

It indeed is fun playing indoor cricket.

do you play one bounce catch? we have to otherwise no one would get out. One bounce one handed catch is out.

Makes it a bit more challenging otherwise one bounce catch is too easy
Probably that's the reason India has failed to produce brilliant fielders over the years. :p

BTW, what is your highest score in indoor cricket? Just wanted to know the difficulty level of scoring structure according to your rules.

Playing on terrace, if it crosses the boundaries of terrace batsman will be rewarded with -6 runs and a wicket:PIf the batsman manages to hit the ball on the opposite side of the wall without bouncing, he is rewarded with +6.Another way to get six runs is by hitting it on left side of the terrace. There are many obstacles present on the way and also there's high risk to get the ball out of terrace. In short its quite fun to play on terrace.:P

Talking about playing weird sort of cricket, me and my mates used to have a lot of fun in school during exams. After we finished writing our papers, we used to play in a vacant space nearby using examination pad as the bat and tiny plastic ball. Was fun, and boundaries were so short that scoring 20 and over was pretty easy. Though no one ever scored a century there as we had only 5 overs per side. Highest was me with 88 not out.

yeah man, We used to do that when I was in 4-7th standard, I was fond of it,. That was pure fun. We used to play with nearly 12-15 fielders around and short boundaries. That tiny plastic don't get any bounce, that makes it even more interesting.

We still do it lol.Instead of plastic ball we used sponge ball though.

We used to play in my garden and we'd normally get about 40 to 60 before getting out until I scored 550 odd. I was having the time of my life constantly whacking everyone around the ground but everyone else thought it was boring and stopped playing.
