What is the ahem.. procedure to get a username change?

I assumed it was PMing an administrator, but that doesn't seem to be true

FYI, if I can have it changed from zMario to Insomniac, that would be great.

It usually has to be similar to what you had, and you must have a valid reason for changing your username.

You are right, it is PMing an administrator. You PMed (at least) me and Colin, clearly we both assumed the other would answer.

I've wanted a name change from pretty much when I started posting regularly but I didn't bother pming the admins because of the strict rules on changing names lol. I don't have any real reason besides the fact i hate it

Actually no, we only shorten not lengthen usernames under the minor change rule. If that's the best you can do for a username change you are pretty stumped for ideas.

The reason we generally don't change usernames is evident in this thread, that everyone else will then want one and then get sick of it after a few months and want another change.
