Prominent sources have revealed that VVS was miffed on account being handed an ultimatum-the 2 Tests versus NZL and thats what prompted the move.

VVS should have been given that ultimatum before the Australia tour itself. If they had given him that, he would probably have scored really well in that tour and could have averted the whitewash for India.
