I was wondering how many of our UK members are regular viewers of the county game.

Are you a county member or do you just go to a few matches?

Do you go to one day games but not championship?

Or aren't you bothered about county cricket at all?

Does price put you off or something else?

Myself I am a member at Kent and go to most home matches although it can be tough to get time off work for weekday matches.

Can't anymore although I used to go to Lords or the Oval a few times a season. Also saw Middx play whenever they were in Richmond.

I went down to Hove earlier in the season, and I was planning on going to Arundel but it's a fair old walk from the train station (About 30 minutes all uphill) on a 35C isn't my idea of fun. Our next home game is at Hove iirc.

Only about ?12 to get in, might've been a tenner even.

School gets in the way of County Championship games, but during the holidays I try to go to as many Lancashire games as I can. I often go to One Day matches to watch Lancashire, and I've been to a few Test matches at Old Trafford as well.

I love watching County Championship games for the peace and serenity of it all; it sounds cheesy, but It's great to watch Lancashire with either my dad or my brother at a sparsley populated Old Trafford.

I follow County cricket a lot, and I mean a lot. But I've never been to a County match and watch few on TV! That's mainly because I don't have sky sports.

Im an avid follower of Sussex CCC. I was thinking going to Hove for the Sussex Warks match, but a couple of my friends pulled out, so didnt see the point of going on my own.
Good to see the team performing so well this season, hopefully we can keep going....

I don't like watching 4 day games, but will happily go to watch Surrey one dayers.

being 30 miles up the road from bristol i just dont have the time to get to watch gloucestershire that much, work ect.

i go to the occasionable 1 day/4day match, but mostly go watch them when they play at gloucester festival/cheltenham college, so hopefully go over to cheltenham and watch a few days in the next week or so.

Because of school I struggle to see Kent play but as soon as we play in the Maidstone pitch (Where I have played before) I will go see them. You see my school is actually metres from there :)

I'm in Maidstone myself. Dont think there will be any Kent action at The Mote next season either, but I would recommend a trip to Tunbridge Wells at least, its a much nicer ground.

As a 16 year old student in Wolverhampton, I have no oppertunities to go and watch County Cricket - New Road and Edgbaston (my nearest County grounds) are out of my reach, I can't get there without one of my parents taking me in the car, and they're both too busy to go all that way to watch a day's cricket. Test matches, yes, fair enough, but not a county fixture that's likely to be dull anyway.

Hopefully at Uni I'll be close enough to go and enjoy a day's cricket now and again.

So is a general perception that county cricket is a bit dull? I used to think this until I actually went to a few matches.

Not in my opinion; On T.V they can sometimes look a bit dull because of the lack of crowds, particulary in 4 day games, but when you actually sit at the ground, it is a lot more exciting and the atmosphere is great.

The cricket itself isn't dull, if, like me, you are entraced by a good game of cricket. However, to the casual watcher, of which both my parents are, the lack of big crowds and top players make it dull.

I would certainly agree that the perception of the general public is that county cricket is dull.
