Match type: T20
No of teams: 8
Format: Round Robin (Each team play 7 matches) top 4 teams go to the playoffs

Player Rating:

Rating is the player ability that I will configure against each player.
For bowlers, this is based on Bowling average, economy rate and International experience
For batsmen, the rating is based on Batting average, Strike rate and International experience.

Sum of following factors (a,b,c) will determine batting (ability /rating)
a. Player's real Twenty20 batting average (with maximum being 40). Even when T20 batting average is more than 40, I will take it as 40.
b. Player's real Twnety20 Strike rate (divided by 4 /4). Even when T20 Strike rate is more than160, I will take it as 40 (160/4).
c. Number of International matches played (divided by 3 /3). Even If the number of international matches played is more than 60, I will take it as 20 (60/3)
Point A and B will take Twenty20 stats (both domestic and international ) and Point C will take T20Is stats (only international matches).

Sum of following factors (a,b,c) will determine bowling (ability /rating)
For bowlers, the rating is based on Bowling average, economy rate and International experience.
a. Less the bowling average, more the player ability / rating
b. Less the economy rate, more the player ability/ rating
c. Number of International matches played (divided by 3 /3). Even If the number of international matches played is more than 60, I will take it as 20 (60/3)

Please refer to following table to understand how bowling rating works for Point A and B. Point A and B will take Twenty20 stats (both domestic and international ) and Point C will take T20Is stats (only international matches).

aa7x4i.jpg

For example: Sachin Tendulkar will have a rating of 62 (Batting avg 32+ Batting SR 121/4 = 30)
Ricky Ponting will have a rating of 56 (Batting Avg 22+ Battin SR 111/4 = 28+ International matches/3 - 17/3=6)

For example: Brett Lee will have a rating of 56 (Bowling Avg 31 - 24 Rating + Economy rate 7.1 - 24 rating+ no of matches T20 International matches 25/3 - 8).
Zaheer Khan will have a rating of 54 (Bowling Avg 27 - 28 rating + economy rate 7.6 - 20 rating + no of T20 International matches 17/3 - 6)

Squad Rules:

1. Each team will have 18 players in the squad (min 2 Wicket keepers).

2. In the playing X1, each team needs to have at least one player from all the major cricket playing countries.

a. 1 player from Sri Lanka
b. 1 Player from Australia
c. 1 Player from West Indies
d. 1 Player from India
e. 1 Player from England
f. 1 Player from South Africa
g. 1 Player from Pakistan
h. 1 Player from New Zealand
I. 1 Player from Rest of the World (Bangladesh, Zimbabwe, Ireland, Netherlands, etc).

In the 18 member squad, you can have maximum of two players from the same country (above list).

3. Player role needs to be mentioned, when a player is being chosen and it will remain the same, through out the season.

To Qualify as a batsman: Minimum 1000 Runs in T20 Matches

To Qualify as a bowler: Minimum 50 Wickets in T20 Matches. If a bowler has scored less than 500 runs, then International experience will not be taken into account to determine the batting ability of a bowler. So max batting rating of a bowler can be 80.

To Qualify as an All Rounder: Minimum 500 runs and 25 wickets in T20 Matches

To Qualify as a Wicket keepr, the player should have scored atleast 1000 runs in Twenty20 cricket.

4. The player should have played atleast 1 T20 match in the last one year ie ( From October 1 2012 to till date).

5. To make the game more interesting, all the 18 players in your squad needs to play atleast one match.

6. The player who is choosen as the captain has to play all the matches irrespective of his performance. In other words you cannot change your captain for the whole season.

7. While selecting the playing X1, you need to select atleast 6 players who can bowl. (Bowlers + All rounders).

Draft Order
Round 1: 1 Player
Round 2: 1 Player
Round 3: 2 Players
Round 4: 2 Players
Round 5: 3 Players
Round 6: 3 Players
Round 7: 3 Players
Round 8: 3 Players

There will be a maximum of 24 hrs time window to choose players for a particular round and it will be on the first come first serve basis.

Inputs from Managers for each match:
Team Composition, Opening bowlers and nature of the pitch ( for home matches)

I will be using Cricket Coach to simulate the games, which can provide wide range of statistics.
Managers can select two opening bowlers for a match, and if you want to open the bowling with two spinners, ya its very much possible.

Looks interesting , count me in!

Sialkot Heartbreakers. :D

I would like to quit as i am confused :( what is this International matches/3 - 17/3=6) ?? and also can you explain what are you trying to say here Bowling: Maximum Rating - 100
1. Real Twenty20 Bowling Avg (Max rating 40 and Min Rating 20)
Real Twenty20 Bowling Avg 15 and less -Rating 40
16 - 39
.
20-35
.
25-30
.
30-25
.
Real Twenty20 Bowling Avg 35 and more - Rating 20

2. Real Twenty20 Bowling Economy rate Max Rating 40 and Min Rating 20
Real Twenty20 Bowling Economy rate 5.5 and less - Rating 40
5.6 - 39
.
6 - 35
.
6.5 - 30
.
7 - 25
.
Real Twenty20 Bowling Economy rate 7.5 and more - 20

3. Number of T20Is International matches (Not Twenty20) played - Number of T20Is International matches/3 (Maximum rating 20)

For example: Brett Lee will have a rating of 56 (Bowling Avg 31 - 24 Rating + Economy rate 7.1 - 24 rating+ no of matches T20 International matches 25/3 - 8)
Zaheer Khan will have a rating of 54 (Bowling Avg 27 - 28 rating + economy rate 7.6 - 20 rating + no of T20 International matches 17/3 - 6)
:/

In cricinfo player statistics, you can see two types of formats related to 20-20.
Twenty20 - which includes both International and Domestic matches.
T20Is- which refers to only International matches.

Rating is the player ability that I will be configured against each player.
For bowlers, this is based on Bowling average, economy rate and International experience
For batsman, the rating is based on Batting average, Strike rate and International experience.
