Match type: T20
No of teams: 8
Format: Round Robin (Each team play 7 matches) top 4 teams go to the playoffs
Player Rating:
Rating is the player ability that I will configure against each player.
For bowlers, this is based on Bowling average, economy rate and International experience
For batsmen, the rating is based on Batting average, Strike rate and International experience.
Sum of following factors (a,b,c) will determine batting (ability /rating)
a. Player's real Twenty20 batting average (with maximum being 40). Even when T20 batting average is more than 40, I will take it as 40.
b. Player's real Twnety20 Strike rate (divided by 4 /4). Even when T20 Strike rate is more than160, I will take it as 40 (160/4).
c. Number of International matches played (divided by 3 /3). Even If the number of international matches played is more than 60, I will take it as 20 (60/3)
Point A and B will take Twenty20 stats (both domestic and international ) and Point C will take T20Is stats (only international matches).
Sum of following factors (a,b,c) will determine bowling (ability /rating)
For bowlers, the rating is based on Bowling average, economy rate and International experience.
a. Less the bowling average, more the player ability / rating
b. Less the economy rate, more the player ability/ rating
c. Number of International matches played (divided by 3 /3). Even If the number of international matches played is more than 60, I will take it as 20 (60/3)
Please refer to following table to understand how bowling rating works for Point A and B. Point A and B will take Twenty20 stats (both domestic and international ) and Point C will take T20Is stats (only international matches).
For example: Sachin Tendulkar will have a rating of 62 (Batting avg 32+ Batting SR 121/4 = 30)
Ricky Ponting will have a rating of 56 (Batting Avg 22+ Battin SR 111/4 = 28+ International matches/3 - 17/3=6)
For example: Brett Lee will have a rating of 56 (Bowling Avg 31 - 24 Rating + Economy rate 7.1 - 24 rating+ no of matches T20 International matches 25/3 - 8).
Zaheer Khan will have a rating of 54 (Bowling Avg 27 - 28 rating + economy rate 7.6 - 20 rating + no of T20 International matches 17/3 - 6)
