I reckon one has to hold the number 1 spot longer than a few months to call it an era. I don't see either England or India maintaining this momentum for years. England will fizzle out and settle back in the middle soon enough and who knows how India will fare once the 30 somethings retire

West Indies Still have a LONG way to go to be known as a Great Team.
To be honest, We need a Person who have the Pride of West Indies Cricket like Sammy and the talent of Gayle. IF we find that person we will have a Strong Leader with is Talented.
Sammy can captain the side good, but his performance isnt something to shout about.
While as Gayle. we cant have a Captain who tomorrow, would refused to perform for West Indies, if he have problem is cricket board.
If you watch Fire in Babylon you would see Loyd and his Team had problems with WICB, yet they perform and became one of the greatest side.
Gayle maybe Popular amount everyone out there, but Gayle is not the right man for this Job.
I think West Indies Should forget all about those players and look to move on.
Keep Chanderpaul and F Edwards and bring back J Taylor.
I wouldnt Choose Dyanwe Bravo nor K Pollard, not loyal members of West Indies Cricket they want to be a Free from the contact, so remove them.
Build the team around A Barath, L Simmons, young Bravo, K Edwards, M Samuels, C Baugh, D Sammy, K Roach, R Rampal, A Russel, Bishoo with Chanderpaul, F Edwards and J Taylor there in the Team.
