What ails Indian umpires?

This IPL has been immense fun as usual , but one thing that is annoying is the standard of umpiring , mainly from the Indian umpires. For more than a decade , India has been producing umpires who are not up to test standard. It is damning that the most populous cricket nation has no representatives in the Elite panel. Nil. Nada. Zilch. Whatever you call it.


Every year the India faithful has expected a Taufel or a Dar to emerge , but what they get are the Shavir Tarapores and the Amish Sahebas.

What do you think is the reason India cannot produce good umpires ? I wanna hear you opinions! Bring it on!
