What are you listening to now?

Regarding R&B, this genre has a proud history of great music, but the term has been hijacked for such dross lately that it's glory days have almost been forgotten.

It is possible to produce excellent rap also, it's just that, apart from Eminem, I don't know of anyone who does it who is any good at it.

There's one Plan B song where he tells a rather disgusting tale of a brutal murder but in complete reverse. It's a quality piece of literary construction regardless of what genre you like. Although the content may not appeal to most :p

Not to mention this is him with just a guitar before his recent crap, and an excellent verse. It's the last verse in particular that's the one I'm referring.

Also, if you actually want to see some people with genuine talent with words on the spot watch Lunar C v Uno Lavoz in the Don't Flop freestyle battles. Uno is a bit different to most people, much more of an act and stage based, but again Lunar C just smashes it with some of his timing and lines - DON'T FLOP - Rap Battle - ?Lunar C Vs Uno Lavoz - YouTube

For something more comical go with Lunar C and Matter in a tag-team v Eddie K and Frisko - DON'T FLOP - Lunar C & Matter Vs Eddie P & Frisko - YouTube (Matter is pretty crap, but Lunar C is pretty much the best there is in the business whilst Eddie K and Frisko just work really well as a pair).

If you want to watch another check out Mark Grist (a teacher) against Blizzard (17 year old) - DON'T FLOP - Rap Battle - ?Blizzard Vs Mark Grist - YouTube

Tupac? I have heard Changes and it was a very good song. Apparently he didn't talk crap in his songs like most of them do nowadays. Sigh, Lil Wayne.

People need to watch the Don't Flop Rap battles I've posted. They may be ripping into each other, but the mutual respect they all have is awesome. They laugh with each other, and always say well done. There's no "gangster" mentality and they actually have talent.

The fact someone posted Prof Green after me is interesting since he made his name as a very good battler, but makes a lot of crap now haha

I like the Wilkinson remix of that.

But this song is amazing <3

SKisM - Rave Review (Dodge & Fuski Remix)

Not too sure about the remix. But the Rave Review seems pretty deep. Seems we have a similar music taste. Any decent recent songs you would like to suggest. :)
