What are you listening to now?

Ste is right, Ahmad. How else do you explain the popularity of Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, T-Pain and myriad other 'singers'?

Yeah I understand that, Ke$ha especially, that is not music, and I am saying that (and I listen to rap and Hip Hop)

not just because of their looks. you're underestimating just how stupid the general population is. that plays a large role too.

Looks is an easy way to get popularity, and Enrique has done it this way. Teenage girls have been all over him for so many years. No way in hell he'd be as popular as he is now without his looks.

You are right that the majority of America is incredibly stupid though.

Lets not judge America alone, a girl in my class last year thought that Africa is a country. The general public is stupid

Compared to the previous songs she has made, being number 1's, this one is not good at all. Flo Rida should have done more in the song. But J Lo is another one of these people go are getting far because of there looks

I laugh when people say she's super talented.

Her acting in that terrible film with Ralph Fiennes, can't remember the name, was truly diabolical, and her signing isn't very special either.

Maid in Manhattan, I think that was the name of the film

I don't get the lure of Linkin Park.

Seems to me like just a guy screaming into a mic.

And it's the same lyrics everytime, and still they don't mean ANYTHING. And their music itself seems very superficial and mindless after a time as well (which is the case with much of the music nowadays anyway).

This is coming from a former hardcore Linkin Park fan. I've moved on to more meaningful (not necessarily in terms of lyrics) music, namely Pink Floyd and the likes of Radiohead and Arcade Fire.

Oh, and listening to this. :)

EDIT: The video doesn't seem to embed correctly. The song is Shine On You Crazy Diamond by Pink Floyd.

Edit by MattW: You need to keep all of it on one line, otherwise it breaks the url that is formed by the website code.
