Faiz Ahmed Faiz, a legendary Urdu poet was imprisoned by General Zia, a dictator back then for writing against Zia. During Faiz's imprisonment, he once had a toothache. He was then taken to a dentist in shackles, through a busy market, where people recognized him, and in-between, he wrote these lyrics. Really heart-touching and provide a perspective on his unfair imprisonment and much more.
