I currently have a old pair of gray nicolls excaliber gloves and the palm area of the glove has gone all crusty (I know you probably haven't even heard of them because they're so old) so what gloves would you recommend which offer comfort and protection?

Puma!

I have the 1st 1. Some other dude have the 2nd 1. But i hate the 2nd 1.

MacLovin added 8 Minutes and 13 Seconds later...

But next time i get new gloves, i will get those new kinds, with palm area all black, instead of white. Not sure if they are out yet.

I saw Ponting and Tamim Iqbal wearing it.

I thought about the getting puma ones, but I may get adidas gloves instead

The new Adidas Pro's are lovely gloves. Fantastic protection and the most comfortable pair of gloves I've ever worn. I definitely recommend those, and Woodworm Premiers, though you can only get the Woodworm's I like from Solly Sports now.

Picture of mine. Think they cost me ?45ish, but as with anything, you get what you pay for, and these are well worth the money.

I've got some Slazenger Combats (not the best) and some Kooka Kahuna Mayhems, best gloves I've worn, and they're the 3rd one down in the range (chaos and players above).

Recommend the Kookaburra gloves.
