Nah, India was not playing their best XI, KL Rahul wasn't picked.I think we found the answer (for now).

I don't rate Babar captaincy, Smith doesn't want it anymore, Root will get PTSD, so Stokes was the logical choice. Not in favour of Stokes as captain tbh. He can succeed if given the players of his choice. With a World XI though, tough to see him replicate the sa.e results
Smith said he enjoys captaining in India, but he'll respect that its Cummins' team now. I think he'd take it. But I'd personally still go for Stokes.I don't rate Babar captaincy, Smith doesn't want it anymore, Root will get PTSD, so Stokes was the logical choice.
Solid XI overall! That middle-order of Chandimal, Smith, and Root is rock-solid—experience, technique, and temperament all in one package. I like the inclusion of Blundell and Rizwan as wicketkeeping options, both are dependable with the bat too. Stokes as captain adds balance and grit. Maybe I’d lean toward Khawaja over Conway for consistency, but both are solid openers. The bowling attack is nicely varied—Afridi with the new ball, Lyon and Patel offering spin variety, and Anderson or Nortje depending on the pitch. Great mix of aggression, control, and reliability!Well, I hope everyone understood the question.

Haven't put much thought into this but the middle-order of Chandimal-Smith-Root is mandatory
