What Was The Last Thing/s You Bought? Thread

In rest states you can carry arms without permit but needs to be concealed

Actually it is the opposite. That is horrible advice and will either get you shot by the police or land you in jail for 10 years

There is no such thing as gun registration here. As long as you are not a convicted felon or an illegal immigrant, you can buy a gun and the government has no mechanism for knowing you did so. This is for Texas, not aware of other states laws.

However, if you want to carry a weapon on you concealed then you need to get a permit and be registered. That is called a "CHL or concealed Handguns license"

Concealing a firearm without a permit is a felony.

Never make any assumptions about gun laws here, they can be super lax like in Texas or super Nazi like in California.

I am not assuming things was just trying to recollect :p Also I am not buying any guns back in California :p

Don't hand out gun advice then. Not trying to sound like a dick but if you don't know the laws don't assume and sure as hell don't make definitive statement about the law, that is what gets people in trouble.

Getting a CHL means taking a few classes and learning for yourself what you can and can't do with a firearm.

When you meet law enforcement in the field you have to openly disclose you are concealing a firearm, they disarm you, inspect the gun and then return it after running the numbers.

If you know the laws, this process runs like clockwork and takes less than a few minutes.

However "assuming" and just carrying a gun means a good chance those same cops might pump 40 rounds into your body

You can't even if you wanted to. You need to be a citizen or a resident alien (green card)

I am considering moving to America. You need a license for a BB gun here. Then again the English are crazy people

Just got to hope now that Ashley doesn't do something for England that makes him hated up and down the country...

...such as play appallingly badly and do his future chances some pretty collateral damage? The penalty miss didn't do him much good, either.

So if I got a Green Card, bought a gun and just wandered down the street with it, that would be fine?

----------

Legally, I mean. Socially I'd be frowned upon I'm sure.

yes, as long as it is not concealed and you are displaying it in a non-threatening manner.

Twissling it around my finger by the trigger guard is non-threatening enough I reckon.

Get me over there!

haha that is probably not the best idea.

I've had to carry mine in public when moving and ofcourse I bear arms in public anytime I am hunting on state land. Only been approached by a cop once, state game warden. He just checked my gun, hunting license and then sent me on my way

too bad we don't have gay marriage in Texas. I'd let you marry me for a green card Manly

I'd make you do horrible things and do even more horrible things to you.

squeeeeeeel like a ..

can't be loaded, but theoretically yea. You'd have a parade of cops following you around though, just waiting for you to point it at someone
