What Was The Last Thing/s You Bought? Thread

can't be loaded, but theoretically yea. You'd have a parade of cops following you around though, just waiting for you to point it at someone

That's crazy and I doubt it, but it is America after all. I can't even make sense of someone legally gaining a permit and then legally purchasing one. I thought the whole point of a CHL is to carry a handgun in order to defend yourself if need be? Kinda hard to argue that you need or are going to logically defend yourself with an RPG.:lol

Actually it's not. The original idea of the right to bear arms in the Bill of Rights is so you can defend yourselves as a "citizens' militia" from "enemies of the people". Enemies of the people were generally expected to be internal/domestic threats eg. a "tyrant" taking power and suspending democracy (lol). It was envisaged that mass-action, military-style opposition would be necessary, so self-defence with an RPG launcher fits the bill (pun intended) quite well.

Ironically, governments colluding with undemocratic forces against the people are now the norm (true), and citizens' militias are all crazies like Tim McVeigh and the Unabomber (or so we are told)... :noway

Arma 2 to play Day Z. It's a bit buggy and they have some server errors now and then but it is such an epic game. They have thought of just about everything.

I can't wait to get involved in some Day-Z Biggy! Just a couple of months away from being able to go crawling through the wildnerness. Really is an awesome concept, and I hope they can continue to improve it and iron out the bugs.

Pretty genius game, the bugs in game aren't really the problem at the moment, it is the connecting and connection errors that frustrate. There is definitely room for improvement in game but for a mod it is incredible. They just released a patch yesterday so a bit painful to get in a server atm, my mate lost his character which was annoying because we had made so much progress. We had food, drink, and medical supplies out the ass so we were ready to move. Bit of a story about my game today. We finally got back together and were stocked up so we travelled three cities over (a lot of walking) from Elektro to Msta and were looking for a deer hut at 1am so pitch black as ef, we find it and there is a guy in there (one we think). Because it has close range mic i asked him 'friendly or not', he said ye, so i asked how many of them there were. he said 3. My mate was like 'nope this is suss as ef' so just as i went to open fire he shot my mate and wounded him. so we patrolled a little and another guy was up there (so only 2 after all) passed out, just as my mate got up the ladder he came too and killed my mate then i got that guy. They had tons of gear but as i was looting him i got killed. Considering the server is 50 ppl max and 225 squared km i was not expecting to see anyone else. so i respawn back on the coastline with the basics. SUCH A HARSH GAME, but so suspenseful and fun. constantly dodging zombies and then the odd bandit encounter (pvp). You gotta try it at least once. for $30 (arma 2 COMBINED OPERATIONS) then the mod being free, such a steal. Makes you wonder how epic it could be if they built their own game, had a budget and ironed out the bugs.

this is the game map - crazy game... http://southcoastbeanwars.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/DayZ_Map_Marked.jpg

Yeah been keeping in touch with some people's adventures, but as jobless at the moment I can't justify any purchases... which is a shame as I have all the time in the world to play them :p

There's a few bugs with regards things like doors and random bleeding out, but death is just another excuse to set off back into the wild and try and rebuild a character :)

He's an Arma dev, so hopefully Arma3 will really take it to the next level - This is a link to his recent interview and Q&A at a recent event - Watch Dean "Rocket" Hall's huge Rezzed Q&A for DayZ • Videos • PC • Eurogamer.net

Yeah..I got killed by a door. But then trying to rebuild is exciting, especially heading into the big PvP cities. Let me know your skype or something if you are gonna play chewie, ive got 1 other mate who plays but the bigger the crew the better.

^if you really want to waste your money, buy this. Cost me ?46 and I have used it twice.

Another one from ebay. :) Seriously guys, if you don't mind getting the previous season's shirt, you can get them so cheap from ebay and both of mine were new as well - this one and the Young (18) one. That's me all kitted out for the next few years. :) The Young one was around ?23 including delivery - that was new, had name/number printing and Championship Premiership patches! The Scholes one was around ?29 including delivery, and has name/number printing. Might take it to Sports Direct to get patches for that one as well - they look really nice. :D
