in retrospect I was rather setting it up for something like that.

(sorry about the edit thing, I pressed the wrong button :/ )

Scoped out my new rifle. She's looking real purty now

tried to take a shot down the scope but it's near impossible with my crappy camera

I see you play the keyboard mark

I tried but I was already 25 when I started to learn. If you don't learn to read music as a child it's near impossible to learn as an adult. Especially sight reading, which is key to piano.

That keyboard usually serves as a stand for my cell phone and dirty clothes

Can't agree with that at all - I had a few years of piano lessons starting at 21, and I was coming on leaps and bounds with sight reading, as well as other aspects of piano in general. Should've kept that going, and chucked the acting in hindsight. Oh well.

(By the way, why've you bought a sniper rifle?) :spy

I've just bought:

It'll enable me to keep up my cardio when my knee's playing up, or if it's chucking it down outside so can't go running - or when it's freezing outside so my motivation's out of the window. ?79, down from ?159, so I'm happy with the price I've paid for sure. Should be here in a few days. :)

lol MB that is a .22

It's about the furthest thing from a "sniper" rifle. BTW what is a sniper rifle?

.22 can kill a man but shot placement will be key and it can't be more than 200 yards. This caliber is used for target shooting or varmit elimination. I am using it to kill rabbits and squirrels on my property.

My 300 win mag on the other hand, that will drop an elk at 700 yrds. I guess that is my closest "sniper rifle" range and caliber

and yea lessons will be key in helping at a later age. I never took lessons, probably why it was so much harder.

Well, you're obviously a gun-expert - to me, anything with a scope on it can be used as a 'sniper rifle'. :D That's how sniper rifles really came into their own - when people started sticking scopes on them. Have you got automatics as well, or just rifles?

So, you're gonna take pot-shots at rabbits etc? Wish I could do that with the sodding foxes that tear up our rubbish bags from time to time... Sounds like fun actually. :D

No automatics, I'm not into guns for the sake of guns. I like them for their practicality.

I have some handguns for self defense and a revolver for concealed carry.

Rifles and shottys for hunting.

Shooting the rabbits is fun and I do eat them. I try to only kill what I consume or for pest removal. It's not a bloodsport as much as the hippies try to make it out to be.

MB

you got me all hot and bothered now. I've been checking out full autos.

To own one you need a ATF Class lll license which is ridiculously expensive and requires months of background checks.

On top of that a full auto AR15 is about $15,000

too rich for my blood right now but hopefully in 10 or so years I will have one.

This is going to be my next purchase. God help the poor bastard who tries to break into my house.

My dad helped me set up an early warning window break system, I've got two big ass dogs and live on the 2nd floor.

Trespassing in Texas = likely immediate death sentence.

Do all Americans spend their time preparing for a home invasion, or is that just a Texan thing? Growing up I slept with the back door open and the front one was unlocked half the time, haha. Even now that I'm outta home you could get into my rental house six ways from sunday lol.

You totally deserve whatever happens to you then.

The ones who don't prepare are the ones who get tied up and shot in the head during invasions.

I never ever want to have to fire my gun at a human being but I sure as hell will protect myself and my property if I am forced to.

Lol.

As they say, only in America.
