I think it is around 5000 rupees in India.

11,000 in Bangladeshi taka. In India it's perhaps 5000 rupees.

There was some sort of error with the configuration that couldn't be fixed, I got a replacement as well and that didn't work either.

It was a boxing day sale for half price which explains it.
