Spin or pace bowling?
In this we're not considering pace of McGrath or Lee or spin of Warne or Muralitharan. Its not about the bowler this time. In pace the ball is coming off of the bat and there is more time to play the shot.
[spinners are hit for more]

There's a lot of factors involved.

How old the ball is (new, oldish for reverse swing, all scuffed)
How the pitch is acting (spinning a lot, erratic bounce)
The weather (overcast conditions, wind assisting swing/drift)

id go spin is harder because pace dont do alot in australia cos its always sunny:p

I hate spin. Even bad spin when people toss it up and you try smash it for six and get caught. i can block spin all day but can get out if it's crap. And spin also sucks if your facing it early on in your innings. i like the ball coming onto the bat.

yeh i hate the left arm spinners that move from right to left around the stumps and bowl so hard to pick it

hmmm, both can be very difficult in England, but if i had to chose oneid say spin. Often the bounce is inconsistent and it can spin. However there should be another option for the number of pie chuckers there are in english cricket leagues :p

The fact batsmen think that tossed up balls are always bad is one of a spinner's key ploys. It's an invitation to hit into the outfield, not the stands.

Will it depends If you are opening the innings like I do for my team then there is a problem when the ball do too much swinging in and out and all that sort of crap :noway

Im one of them :p

In South African conditions its much easier to go after the spinners, whenever I bat I just can't wait to face them. Most of the pacers from larger schools have got an amazing ability to swing the ball atleast a meter, and at a hell of a pace! One of the things I don't look forward to when opening!

yeh i open aswell. I love pace. I hate short balls in my body though.

angryangy - i was kind of using an example.
im just talking about **** spinners who every ball loop it because thats how they bowl. they **** me off. i normally just play a lazy block which is basically saying ur ****. i don't usually try and hit it for six i just play a normal shot along the ground, but i have got out to one before. they can get alot of good batsmen out though who don't have much self control.

yeh i open the innings but i love smacking them because they dont swing it after that:p and get scared to drop short or full:p

I hate short pitch bowling as well. I've been hit in my head 3 times and chest about 5 times. I love it when its short and wide though. And especially full outside of offstump. :D
Spin bowling is my asset. I bowl leg spin. I can bowl all of the balls except the flipper. I'm still learning it. I can bowl leg spin, the googly, topspinner and the slider/backspinner. :happy
