Who should England drop for the First Test?

If Onions isn't fit. I cant see Flower & Strauss playing Finn over Sidebottom to be honest ATS.

Yeah! Sidebottom was in pretty good in the finals.

Strauss was fielding at slip when Finn took a 9 wicket haul in 1 innings earlier this season, he then followed that up with a 5fer in the 2nd innings. Finn also hasn't been picked for the Lions game, which indicates to me that he's almost guaranteed selection for the 1st Test. I'd be very surprised if a guy with 28 wickets at 17.92, who played in England's last Test, and took those FC wickets in the same side as the England captain wasn't picked in the squad.

We're playing Bangladesh, might as well stick with those who aren't regulars who were used in the away series. I might leave Swann out and play Treadmill instead, doesn't matter that much given we would have to hit rock bottom to lose this no matter which XI.

Much like Finn there was no James Tredwell in the Lions game despite the fact that he had recently returned from the Caribbean Ravi Bopara did play. BBC suggested yesterday that Broad, Swann and even Collingwood could be rested to avoid physical and mental burnout.

Well obviously now that Broad has been rested. Both Finn & Sidebottom will surely play.

What will be interesting is if they give Morgan a debut by batting him @ 6. Or they continue with Bresnan @ 7 for the time being.

I hope Morgan plays. So excited to see him finally in the test set-up.
