Agree about needing the desire to go into a field you actually enjoy. I sigh at all my friends and people I know that go into a course because "it pays wells". Asked my friend - who dislikes maths - why he was going to do Engineering and he was like "because you get heaps of money". Then I started arguing that it's not about the money and his reply was like "well, we'll see who's richer later on". I just really dislike that attitude in life. Hoping he struggles in University!~

If he doesn't like maths I don't reckon he's going to think much of engineering. Take him up on that offer of seeing who is richer, I doubt he'll go as well as he thinks.
