Why is my laptop being so difficult!!!!!!

Get Daemon Tools, awesome device. Makes downloading fake games and playing them sooooo much easier :p

Or just nick one. I doubt it'll be your first time...

You can try some of these ways:

♦ Download Ccleaner and run a registry scan. Delete all the corrupted registries.

♦ Download Windows Live Onecare and run a complete PC optimization.

♦ Go to Start ► Run ► type "prefetch" (without the quotes). Delete everything inside that folder.

♦ Go to Start ► Run ► type "%temp%" (without the quotes). Delete everything inside that folder.

♦ Go to Start ► Run ► type "temp" (without the quotes). Again thrash everything from the folder.

♦ Finally, un-install Firefox and IE and then reinstall it again.

I hope these suggestions may help you.:)

Already deleted that stuff. I am not sure what it is, however, when it gets all laggy I can really here the comp begin to struggle (I can hear the fan, I think?) It has been knocked around a bit so that might be the cause???

yeh, that happened to me once, i reformatted it and it was fine, try backing everything up and doing a fresh install. (if you want to)

if not just be careful not to knock it again or overuse it. Does it ever get overheated after say 20 minutes. If it does i would either do the above or buy a notebook cooler.

Yeah I think it might be getting over-heated, it is certainly very hot to the touch and around the back of it and on the mousepad thing. Don't even mention me re-formatting it, too many bad memories of that. Can I just get it repaired somewhere?

try taking it to a pc shop (along with your checkbook:p) if you want. I would recommend buying a cheap cooler and keeping it on high at all times. This works if you keep your laptop on for long periods per day. I had the same problem (laggy/overheating) bought this and it keeps the processor cool and working at a good temp.

Hey Tom with all these issues, you deserve better, hit the bank, get yourself a new laptop mate, it's the season of giving :p
Truth be told, it's the nature of these things, when they start acting up it is time to replace them!!

lol, no dont listen to westindies, you just got this laptop and it is just fine, (if not a little slow) Just try what i said and make sure u ruc ccleaner and antiviruses regularly and keep the cooler on. It will work. You can reformat it later if you want (pc world can do it for under £25)

Rabs, I've only had the laptop for about 2-3 months. Plus if I bought a semi decent laptop there goes half my bank account :p You can buy one for me if you want ;)

Cheers for that Daniel. Does it work on any laptop?

yep, as long as you have a free usb port it will work, the good thing about the one i have is that it has a usb port on the adapter so you still have a free usb port. Beaware that the sound will be quite loud but not that much of a difference.

Err. Tom, Would you mind Taking a screenshot of the following folder in this location?

C:\Documents and Settings\Tom(?)\Local Settings\Temp.

Unhide folders if hidden, let's see. I have the same problem. I think it's because of the excess amount of crap installed.

If you have knowledge about Task manager, well.. really it isn't knowledge but if you know which applications' image name is what in it, you can disable the unnecessary junk that load up in the start-up.
