Will spin really be important in this tournament?

Can't believe the guys who get picked for India, four spinners + zaheer would suit them well. Most of the time their "fast" bowlers get knocked out of the attack anyway and they go with part-timers, certainly they'd do better with an actual bowler?

Anyway spin always does well in T20, don't see why a tournament with really slow pitches would be any different.

That is a bit much. Praveen Kumar is a pretty decent quick.

If you watched the NZ/SL match, You would see every spinner doing well, whereas the pace not so well. Bond got a bit of stick, but the spinners (McCullum, Vettori) bowled very tight. Same with the SL attack.

Southee and Matthews were the only fast bowlers to do decently, all the spinners were very tight, especially in the middle overs, and McCullum opening.

Because their spinners haven't bowled yet... :facepalm

That doesn't take away the fact that they have bowled well. :facepalm

But it could be just because Ireland are horrible at batting, and the spinners would do just as well.

As it turns out, Miller's bowled the worst of the WI bowlers so the WI pacers are better than the spinners, whereas the Irish spinners are better than their pacers.

Only Dockrell did well out of the spinners from Ireland, overall Ireland's pace attack did better.

Ireland dont have 1 decent spinner!

MacLovin added 1 Minutes and 26 Seconds later...

All the slow bowlers are doing well. Spin and Medium-fast...

Oh yes the greatest LOI slow bowler of them all, Daniel Vettori, renowned for keeping things tight is having an exceptional tournament :sarcasm

Guess Clarke has a use for our T20 team after all, he can bowl his slow tweakers. Hauritz is next to useless so our part timers will have to do the spin work.

That's a bit harsh on Hauritz, he's been the best spin bowler for the Aussies since Warne.

Considering 2 games have been played and Dan did play well, you are confusing me with that smily!
