It is for reserving the copy. I missed it. Update is already out I guess. I have my windows 7 ultimate updated to KB2977759.

A simple suggestion, if you have a genuine copy then simply download the official ISO from here and upgrade your system.

Then go with the ISO and upgrade with keeping all files and settings.
 
Mine has stuck on preparing for installation for about 20 minutes now. Any help? I hope I haven't lost my 3GB data because of this and don't have to download it again!
 
I upgraded last night on my 1st gen surface pro. Did not have any issues :|

Looked pretty decent from the initial usage

I tried that first, it stuck at preparing to install 33% for a while and then failed an needed to download again. So I prefer using ISO rather than peer-to-peer upgrade.
 
Mine downloaded fully! Dayuum! I just hope it resumes somehow...
 
Finally it's done. Thank goodness I didn't have to download it again. Time to sleep now.

Really impressed so far with windows 10

Looks like MS might actually have a winner on hands here
 
There is an option to keep your files. I went with a clean install
