Quadrangular series are hardly anything new. There's been one in women's cricket before and several in men's cricket. India have even hosted at least one pentangular tournament.

So it looks like India and New Zealand are on two really good streaks. New Zealand has a record of winning in India against other teams, but has lost to India in their last four encounters, if I'm not mistaken.
