they've already said no forfeitures are allowed in 2007 world cup

Hopefully the organisers won't put teams in a situation where teams have to forfeit. Games should NEVER have been held in Zimbabwe in this World Cup.

errrr..... do you watch the news? The fact that their president is as evil a man as Saddam Hussein, brutalises his own people, stands by while millions of his people are starving to death, imprisons, tortures and even kills political opponents, instigated a brutal and racist land reform policy that led to many people losing their homes and even their lives. Even Heath Streak's parents have been forced off their farm. But you won't hear Streak saying that this is wrong, because if he does he'll be arrested. Look whats happened to Henry Olonga!

Henry Olonga has been banned from all cricket in Zimbabwe simply for speaking out against the government.

At Zimbabwe's last game in the World Cup police were there from Zimabwe waiting to arrest him.

As for what happened.... any protesters at the games were instantly arrested. Remember this is a country that is supposed to be a democracy. As this years Wisden said: -

The organisers have managed to wash their hands while simulataneously burying their heads in the sand

One of the organising comittee even went so far as to speak of great meal that the ZCU put on for him, ignoring the fact that millions are starving.

The problem is that mixing politics and sport is a bad idea. Morally, we shouldn't have played in Zimbabwe and Zimbabwe shouldn't be touring here (look at the arpatheid tours) but financially it was a disaster not playing in Zimbabwe and it would have spelt financial ruin for the ECB if this summers tour had been cancelled.
If the politicians really believe that morally England shouldn't play Zimbabwe they should offer (as they should have done during the WC) to make up the shortfall. Otherwise they shouldn't interfere and put totally unjustifed political pressure on what shouldn't be a political decision.

The thing with Zimbabwe is that Politics and Sport do mix, because Robert Mugabe is patron of the ZCU.

You Australians have no idea!!! It is the worst country in the world!!! Mgube is a mass murderer!!! Australia, USA, UK and New Zealand ruind SOuth Africa and Zimbabwe. When whites were in power we were 2 of the greatest countries in the world! Then your countries put sanctions on us forcing us to turn it over to the blacks! Now look at our countries! If you are white and in ZIm, you are dead! In south Africa a women gets ***** every 28 seconds!! They were perfect countries witth whites in power. The Zim dollar used to be 1 Z$ = 1AU$ now its about 1 AU$ = 298 Z$
the **** Kaffir's ruined our countries and are killing people, all because your countries butted in! Now you wont have anything to do with it!

Well, if you are talking about, crime, rape, disease, econemy ect then yes. But was it racest towards the blacks?? Yes. thats why it was changed. But the only thing that should have changed was the blacks allowed to be anywhere, but the Whites should still have the power.

Surely in a democracy people should be able to vote anyone into power, black or white.
