Please read the rules properly. It is clearly written there that if your choice doesn't co-incide with another person's choice (ie, if no other person apart from you bids for that player) you'll get the player for free.

If you really follow rules then tell justice on Gayle's case.I bidded at sharp 10.00 and BCV closed auction at 9.58.So is it right?

may be there was a difference in times in our watches and face this sashi: if you were sure you weren't out bid for pietersen, WHY DID YOU BID FOR GAYLE??? it's against the rules.isn't it? Level 1 of bidding is saying that you are interested and level 2 is bidding $5,000 or above and also i didn't tell you that you got KP before the auction closed.it was after the closing time when you could have done nothing no matter whom you got. So,you can't claim that Kp is yours using any theory and since you bid on two players and still claimed that you want the first player,it makes no sense.does it? Your post was displayed after my message saying "auction closed" so,as per the rules,it can't be considered.just like gary lost hayden despite willing to bid the hell out for him to you, you lost kp. why not be sportive and concentrate on the second part of the auction?
