World XI Set To Tour Australia


The World XI team are set for a tour down under.

Tom Moody has been named as the World XI Coach.

At a recent press conference, where the squad playing in Australia was released Tom Moody was very adamant that this will be the squad that can beat Australia.

So Stephen how does it feel to be back in Australia

Yeah not too bad mate i always love playing in Australia the pitches are always world class and the crowd is always animated and fantastic.


So tell us Stephen how do you think this World XI team will fair against this Australian team.

Quite well i think all of our blokes are in top form and with a middle order that has Tendulkar, Lara, Flintoff and Pietersen i personally think we can come away with a few wins here.

This shd be an interesting tour.. but as sami was saying, MoYo cud have been included in place of any one bowlers, Collymore or Edwards in the squad!

World XI Vs Victoria D/N (MCG)

Welcome to the first game in what should be an exciting Tour, will head down to the middle now to see who won the toss.

Victoria won the toss and elected to Bowl first, its an unusual decision as its a hard pitch with no grass and a lot of bounce, World XI should be able to make a
fairly large total here.

1st Over Update

World XI off to a nice start with C. Gayle pulling M. Lewis for six in just his second ball.

1st Wicket

C. White decides to make his first bowling change by taking Denton off and bringing in R. Cassell, this seemed to be an excellent decision when the last ball of his over he enticed Gayle to play a big pull shot only to have the ball deflect off the bottom edge onto the stumps.

10th Over Update

At the 10th over mark World XI are 60/1 and are scoring at about 5.80 runs an over, the loss of Gayle being the only setback.

I know its nothing impressive but any comments good or bad would be greatly received.

Yeah i couldn't remerber the actually run rate but i remember it being around the 6 and over mark sorry for that.
