Basicly gone for flavour of the month picks.

Test XI:

1: Guptill
2: Watling
3: Williamson
4: Taylor
5: Ryder
6: Vettori
7: Franklin
8: McCullum
9: Southee
10: Tuffey
11: Bond

McCullum would stay but only because he still the best gloveman we have. Have Southee in the team because our attack is an ageing one and we need to start bringing some youthful bowlers into the mix.

ODI XI:

1: Guptill
2: Ryder
3: Williamson
4: Taylor
5: Elliott
6: McCullum
7: Franklin
8: Vettori
9: Mills
10: Butler
11: Bond

Would replace Mills or Butler with Nathan McCullum if the pitch is taking spin.

Test XI

1: Guptill
2: Watling
3: Broom
4: Taylor
5: Ryder
6: Williamson
7: Vettori
8: McCullum
9: Wagner
10: McClenaghan
11: Bond

The team I would love to see picked, Wagner has two more years before he's eligible so he'll probably never play with Bond. Wagner and Bond would open with McClenaghan being first change. It would be great to have three bowlers all bowling over 140K's. Ryder and Williamson would be New Zealand's 5th/part-time bowlers.

ODI XI:

1: Ryder
2: Guptill
3: Williamson
4: Taylor
5: Elliott
6: McCullum
7: Vettori
8: Franklin
9: Mills
10: Boult
11: Bond

Oh god. I don't get this Williamson love. He's not ready yet. He's not done enough to justify selection. I know we're desperate to find someone, but it's too early. He needs to play more A Tours and perform in them etc. At least wait until another first class season is over. Boult is in the same boat, needs more experience at FC and ListA level.

I do agree with Watling. I think he deserves a chance. Even if he was at 3.

McClenaghan I don't agree with either, needs to prove himself more. He did look good though, just needs to develop a bit and prove himself a little more. Why has everyone gone off O'Brien so quick. And Chris Martin?

For the record I wouldn't want Williamson selected for at least another two years, or until he starts scoring 100's for New Zealand A. The team I selected was just a team full of player's I'd like to watch (Hence Wagner being picked).

NZ Test XI

1. McIntosh
2. Guptill
3. DON'T KNOW (Flynn)
4. Taylor
5. Ryder
6. Vettori
7. Franklin
8. McCullum
9. Southee
10. Tuffey
11. Bond

Move Vettori to number six, dropping Franklin and McCullum down. I don't rate McCullum but is probably the best keeper we have at the moment and is not a good enough test batsmen to bat any higher than eight. Bring Southee back as their is no one else really better for the job. Tuffey and Bond pretty much pick themselves. When they retire probably bring in Wagner and Boult as they will be all the better off having another season of domestic cricket.

NZ ODI XI

1. Ryder
2. Guptill
3. DON'T KNOW
4. Taylor
5. Elliot
6. McCullum
7. Vettori
8. Franklin
9. Mills
10. Butler
11.Bond

ODI pretty much picks itself at the moment.

Pretty much the same as Ari's. I'm not really sure who we should have at number three. Flynn needs to go back and find some form in the domestic game as he looks horrendously out of touch at the international level. Some people are saying Williamson but I think we should give him another year before we bring him in.

NZ T20I XI

Don't want to name one as it is just a joke. We just need players who can hit the ball and are in good form at the time. Other than that it would mainly be about 3/4 of the ODI XI.

Since no ones done Australia:

Test XI:

Hughes - We need to keep him in there, hes a gun
Katich -Hes doing well
Ponting - Nothing has to be explained
Clarke - Nothing has to be explained
North - Has scored a few centuries, looks good enough for test cricket
Watson - Doesn't need to be used as an opener, is a better middle order bat
Haddin - Still our number 1 keeper, although I have been impressed by T Paine
Johnson - Our number 1 bowler
Lee - He can still play test cricket, we need to give him another chance
Clark- We need an old head in the bowling ranks, Hilfy is crap in conditions that don't suit
Siddle - Young and raw but is coming along nicely

No Hauritz, he is shite. We don't have to have a damn spinner in every test side we play. We don't have Warne anymore!

ODI XI:

The current one is fine, except Paine makes way for Haddin when fit

If I was in charge of New Zealand, the Test team would be:

1. Guptill
2. Watling
3. Broom
4. Taylor
5. Ryder
6. Elliot
7. McCullum
8. Vettori
9. Wagner
10. Bond
11. Tuffey

Don't really see the point of having Vettori any higher than 8, he is pretty good at batting with the tail and very good at staying with a batsman if they are set. That part should stay the same. I don't want to be 150 - 6 and relying on McCullum to see us through to 250, being 150 - 7 with McCullum at the crease but knowing that Vettori is in next is much more comforting. Wagner deserves a shot, and Bond and Tuffey look to be our best opening bowlers we've had since well, they went to the ICL. Can't pick Franklin with how he is bowling at the moment, just doesn't cut it. Ryder and Elliot can provide a 5th bowling option. Elliot deserves a shot after his one day performances, I really believe he'll come good. Watling already deserves his chance, McIntosh can't bat.

ODI:

1. Ryder
2. Guptill
3. Broom
4. Taylor
5. Elliot
6. McCullum
7. Vettori
8. James Franklin/Nath McCullum
9. Mills
10. Bond
11. Tuffey/Butler

Not much change from the Champions trophy squad. Except for the hack going down to 6, and Broom moving up.

Will post the ODI Team later.
