Regarding your test bowlers, Ishant Sharma at 5?

He hasn't even got a 5 wicket haul yet

Also you can't put Mendis in there after only one series...

The ICC Rankings are accumulated over a long period of time - your rankings are just well... your "own"

^ It's just my opinion on the current form of the players. It's not statistical, like the official rankings.

Come on guys give your own first rather than just stop commenting on his rankings!

Sharma has actually.

Based on what I think right now:

In Tests:
Bell shouldn't be 8.
Gambhir shouldn't be 10.
Monty shouldn't be at 7, certainly.
Sharma should no way be at 5.
Mendis can't be at 2 because he hasn't played enough series to get that high.

In ODIs:
Mendis for the same reason.
The last 4 bowlers shouldn't be there.

I appreciata for your guys' views on my rankings, but feel free to give your own rankings based on your opinions - this is what the thread's for.

As for the above post:

1) Bell has a great technique and is starting to find his form again

2) Gambhir is developing into a very consistent batsman and is definitely a great batsman.

3) Monty is actually a very good offspinner and gets a lot of turn and is accurate

4) Sharma has proved himself on both Australian and Asian wickets, extracting considerable bounce, pace, and accuracy

5) Mendis was completely unstopable against India - I don't see many teams in the future picking him

6) Same as above

7) Stuart Broad has proven to be a consistent ODI bowler. I've given my case on Sharma, and Sreesanth can get great pace and swing, and when he is in for he is a great ODI bowler. And Shahid Afridi is developing into a very good bowler, with great ODI bowling perfomances throughout the year, geting good turn and smart bowling

I still wouldn't stick Bell there at the moment, if he can have a good tour of India and where else England are going, then I can understand himmaking his way up the rankings easily, but not at the moment. Monty doesn't get a lot of turn and his bowling consists of stock ball after stock ball so he shouldn't be there yet.
