Your personal IPL team ratings

If you could rank the IPL teams considering their performance in the league so far, what would be your personal ranking?

I would rank the teams, based on current form as :

1. Rajasthan Royals (best team so far by a long way)
2. Delhi Daredevils (have a solid bowling line up and the best opening pair)
3. Kings XI Punjab (inconsistent in phases, but full of talent and looking dominating)
4. Mumbai Indians (the team with the biggest momentum shift after the comeback of Tendulkar)
5. Bangalore Royal Challengers (seem to be getting their act together)
6. Kolkata Knight Riders (disappointed after their performance, but still looking like they can win matches with their bowling attack)
7. Chennai Super Kings (going downhill rapidly ever since the Aussie combination of Hayden and Hussey left the team)
8. Deccan Chargers. (Not looking good in bowling especially. got the weakest bowling attack in the tournament)

So what would be your personal ranking (obviously not the same as the teams' points tally)

We have best side with best batting and bowling. Only our fielding is poor.

The only reason I rated Delhi above Kings XI Punjab is because Kings XI have looked vulnerable while bowling. I mean, they haven't exactly been able to defend high totals in the tournament despite having such a talented bowling line-up.

is it with whole squad or without any international. coz teams had international in patches, like chennai had them at the initial stage and then rajasthan getting the paks and saffas. .same for all teams.

I know that not many will agree with me , but Mumbai have played better cricket than Chennai in the IPL.
They`ve been a tad unlucky with the close finishes which could easily have gone their way on another day.They`ve lost 4 last ball finishes.

If you think about it, the Chennai team has:

1 Gujarathi wicket keeper - Parthiv Patel
1 Punjabi fast bowler - Manpreet Gony
2 Uttar Pradesh Players - Suresh Raina and Joginder Sharma
1 captain from Jharkhand (?) Mahendra Singh Dhoni
several assorted foriegners

So hardly any of the teams have more than 2-3 real local players.


I heard that Stephen Fleming is flying back to New Zealand for personal reasons and won't play the semis.

well i think after jaipur we mumbai should race 2
because we had probs like fielding errors etc.. but stil as u said we had the momentum that all other lacks
i bet that the ipl cup will not belong to Jaipur my belief but full faith in it
